The Department of Finance and Operations Management is one
of three departments within the Collins College of Business.
Courses are offered in the areas of corporate finance,
investments, financial institutions, and risk
management. Undergraduate Finance majors may
concentrate in:
1) General Finance,
2) Corporate Finance,
3)
Financial Institutions, and
4) Investments and Portfolio
Management.
The goals of the Department are to
prepare students for successful careers in Finance, to engage in
meaningful research, and to provide continuing education to
business people. To accomplish these goals, students are
exposed not only to the information required to perform
entry-level positions, but also to the financial theory
necessary for providing the knowledge base required for a
lifetime of learning.
All Business Administration majors must complete the basic
course requirements for a B.S.B.A. degree.
